About me

A smiling woman with long, wavy hair wearing a sleeveless, sparkly dress in a dimly lit indoor setting with warm lighting.

I am a passionate, dedicated educator with over two decades of experience working with adolescents across vastly different populations, schools and settings.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middlebury College and a master’s degree in Secondary Special Education through the NYC Teaching Fellows. I have been a Learning Specialist and IEP Coordinator in NYC high schools since 2009, and am also a certified ADHD Coach.

I have extensive experience reaching and motivating students of all abilities and neurodiversities. Whether it’s working with students 1:1, in small groups or in larger classrooms, my priority is to ensure that learners feel supported and motivated while connecting with the material and mastering new skills. I do this by breaking down complex concepts into individualized, engaging and challenging (yet accessible) tasks and providing thoughtful and meaningful feedback.

As an educator and coach, my mission is to harness my students’ unique interests, abilities and adaptations and teach them effective strategies for success across all domains. I promote radical self-acceptance and empower students to advocate for themselves, maintain a growth mindset and accept support when needed.

I look forward to working with your family!
